A three-tiered chandelier made of brightly colored glass hangs in the atrium at Lincoln Square in downtown Bellevue. Local artist Dale Chihuly installed the piece in 2006. Nearly 10 years later it still inspires passersby to look up.
In this photo, I like how the sunlight illuminates the top of the glass tower, making the colors pop, but the bottom is hidden in shadow.
More than 3,000 cubes are stacked like Tetris blocks inside a gallery at the EMP in Seattle. The museum’s Indie Game Revolution features about 20 indie games, including one of my favorites, Broken Age.
I love how the gallery’s bright colors and pixelated shapes make the viewer feel as if she just stepped into a video game.
