I learned an important lesson today: don’t wait until sundown to get outdoor photos. The afternoon sun would have made this Seahawks window art stand out beautifully. But by the time I got off work, shadows had already darkened the east side of the building.
I love the bright red berries and sharp green leaves on this holly tree. It’s nice to see a bit of color in winter.

When my husband and I moved to Washington state in 2010, we lived in a cute little apartment at Metro 112 in downtown Bellevue. Almost everything we needed was within walking distance, including our jobs.
The sun shines on Bellevue City Hall in downtown Bellevue on Monday afternoon. I took a walk during my lunch break today to enjoy the sunshine, the blue sky, and the slightly warmer temperatures.
I found these pretty pink camellias in full bloom at one of the neighborhood parks in Bellevue. I didn’t realize camellias bloomed in winter in the Pacific Northwest.
I baked half-and-half cookies with coconut oil instead of butter, so they’re dairy-free. The frosting is vanilla and chocolate with a coconut oil base, which gives the cookies a sweet flavor. Very tasty!

Radagast The Brown pops his head out of his favorite wood crate to check out the rest of the bunnies’ room. It had just been vacuumed, which means Radagast and his sister Rosie must inspect all their toys to make sure everything is in its proper place.
